Out of an abundance of caution in our rapidly changing health environment due to the coronavirus, we are shifting The New Leaf business to orders via phone, email or online. At this time, the shop will be open for us to prepare orders, but not for walk-in traffic. We believe this is the best decision to protect our employees and our customers.

Flowers do indeed bring cheer and comfort, so we will be working to fulfill your orders, and will make deliveries as needed, coordinating with you to deliver them safely.

We join everyone in praying that all Virginians and citizens worldwide will follow the recommended health measures to stay safe and hope that life and business will return soon to a closer state of normal.

A native of Norfolk, Laurel graduated from Granby High School then received a Bachelor of Arts degree from VCU in Richmond and a Masters of Fine Arts from Old Dominion University. She joined with The New Leaf to bring the art of museum archival framing to The New Leaf. The two owners merged and created The New Leaf & Quarberg Gallery. After five years Laurel was more enthused about the floral side of the business, thus she closed the gallery to focus on The New Leaf - the unusual in floral design. Today Laurel runs the administrative and marketing side of the flower shop. In her free time Laurel enjoys fishing, boating, and travel.

The florists at New Leaf Florist in Norfolk, VA made lovely bouquets for my daughter’s wedding. They paid special attention to colors and types of lowers I requested while being very respectful of the budget. I can not thank them enough for their attentive service and their flexibility!
